Brooks Kidd performs at Honeybun Festival and a World Record was set

Over 1,000 people ate a honey bun simultaneously in London on Saturday evening, breaking the previously held world record of 777 in 2023. The city of London posted on Facebook around 8:15 p.m. on Saturday that the new world record had been set. “The world record for most people eating a honey bun simultaneously was set this evening at Pumpkin Park at Town Center. It was the culmination of a fantastic Honey Bun Day in downtown London. The Griffin and Brooks families were recognized for bringing the iconic treat to London many years ago,” London officials said.

Kidd and McKane rock public library

A cold winter night offered some warmth with a concert by London native Brooks Kidd on Saturday.

Kidd made his local “claim to fame” when he auditioned for the popular TV talent show, American Idol in 2021. His performance earned him a “Golden Ticket” for preliminary auditions in Hollywood.

Now performing solo and with his band McKane, Kidd continues with his music career.
